The rules of the table

Last updated October 28, 2026. By using Kettle Quest, the website or the phone app, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it.

What Kettle Quest is

Kettle Quest is a free game that turns real cooking and real exercise into a tabletop-RPG campaign. There are no accounts. Your progress lives in your own browser (see Privacy), so it can be lost if your browser's data is cleared; keep a save code from your hero sheet if it matters to you.

Exercise: not medical advice

The workouts, class quests, kettle snacks and fitness levels are general activity ideas for healthy adults, not medical advice, a diagnosis or a treatment plan. Talk to a doctor before you start if you have a heart, lung, joint or other health condition, are pregnant, take medicine for a long-term condition, or haven't been active for a long time, and before vigorous exercise if you're over 45 and not used to it. The health check is a screening aid based on the PAR-Q+, not a medical clearance. Stop and rest if you feel chest pain or pressure, unusual breathlessness, dizziness, a racing or uneven heartbeat, sharp joint pain or numbness. Get help if it doesn't pass. You exercise at your own risk, and you're responsible for choosing a safe place, safe equipment and a safe level of effort. Kids should only do movement a grown-up has checked is safe for them.

Food safety and allergies

Recipes are written from standard, well-known methods, and most are marked "Not yet table-tested". Cook meat, fish and eggs to safe temperatures, keep raw and cooked food apart, and follow the food-safety advice where you live. Allergen tags, the "Avoid" settings and suggested swaps are a guide, not a guarantee: always read ingredient labels, and for a serious allergy cook that person's portion separately. Kitchen jobs for kids are suggestions; a grown-up decides what each child can safely do and supervises knives, heat and hot liquids. We make no nutrition, calorie, weight-loss or health claims about any recipe.

Pictures and imported recipes

Food pictures on the site are AI-generated illustrations, not photos of the recipes. Recipes you import from other sites belong to their authors; Kettle Quest only reads the recipe card a site publishes for search engines, keeps it in your browser and links back to the original.

Parties

If you join a party, be kind: names and party names must not be offensive or impersonate anyone. A party's leader can remove members, and we may delete parties or names that break these terms.

No warranty

Kettle Quest is provided as it is, free of charge, without warranties of any kind. It may change, pause or stop, and features may come and go. To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for any injury, illness, loss or damage that comes from using it, including from following a recipe or a workout.

Changes

If these terms change, this page will show the new date. Using Kettle Quest after a change means you accept the new terms.
