Miso Black Sesame Shortbread

Runestones

Salty, buttery, a little toasty. Miso does what salted caramel does, without the sticky fingers. The dough lives in the freezer for whenever you need cookies.

Tavern Night

This dish's twist table (d6)

1–2The classic stands. No twist. Cook it as written.
3Herb swap. Roll the log in raw sugar before slicing
4Acid strike. Add 1 teaspoon orange zest to the dough
5Plating challenge. Stamp each with a rune or dice pip before baking
6Host's boon. The Host picks any twist above, or the table invents one. The safety rule still applies.

Roll before you start cooking. No twist ever changes a time, a temperature or how done something must be.
